( [private] )REMUS. If you wouldn’t keep the newspapers in such a neat stack in the corner I might actually remember to read them. From now on, they are to be scattered around the place so I will stumble upon them every day and keep myself informed. The times they are a-changing and your unnecessary neatness is keeping me in the dark.
(Oh, and I may have helped you by messing up the already-existing stack of papers today. However, I am now full of knowledge and I know you would never have a problem with anyone pursuing knowledge.)
Have you lot heard about the new Prime Minister? It’s the first time they’ve elected a woman and she has the muggles all going mad with worry. I know women can be a bit, well, unbalanced sometimes – cue Lily’s face flushing with anger – but they are actually just as capable of running countries as men are, right?
Anyway, having locked myself indoors all day in the noble pursuit of knowledge, I now desperately need to DO SOMETHING. James, dear, can we go out and play tonight? And by tonight, I mean now. I’m leaving here as soon as I finish this, and if you’re not at the bar (don’t pretend you don’t know which one I mean) with Pete when I get there I’ll be forced to find new best mates. You have been properly warned.
Remus, meet me there when you get out of work. If you take the time to pick up the papers, I WILL know.
